ACI to invest 140 million euros in Croatian marinas following concession extension

The Croatian government has extended concessions for 21 nautical tourism ports operated by ACI d.d. until the end of 2058. This decision, which extends the current terms expiring in 2030, is intended to provide long-term stability and facilitate a new investment cycle estimated at approximately 140 million euros.

A major component of this investment plan is the construction of the ACI Marina Rijeka in Porto Baroš. Valued at roughly 80 million euros, this luxury mega-marina is being co-developed by ACI and the Lürssen Group through the joint venture ACI Gitone. The project aims to become the most luxurious marina within the ACI system. Other planned investments include an extensive reconstruction of the marina in Ičići.

Under the new agreement, concession fees will increase. The fixed portion will be 1.5 euros per square meter, with adjustments every five years, while the variable portion will consist of 4 percent of annual revenue. Total public contributions over the concession period are estimated at approximately 700 million euros.
