Ack Attack targets 400 mph speed record in Bolivia
The Ack Attack team, led by Mike Akatiff, is preparing to attempt a new land speed record in the Uyuni Salt Flats, Bolivia. The vehicle, which resembles a missile more than a traditional motorcycle, utilizes two supercharged Suzuki Hayabusa engines to produce approximately 1,000 CV of power.
The goal is to exceed 400 mph (approximately 645 km/h). During a 2023 attempt at the same location, the team reached 378 mph (608 km/h), though they failed to complete the return pass required for official FIM world record certification. The team plans to return to the Bolivian salt flats this October to attempt the milestone again.
