ACM Neto inaugurates campaign committee in Salvador
ACM Neto, the União Brasil candidate for the governorship of Bahia, has inaugurated his campaign committee in Salvador. The event brought together his full slate of candidates, including vice-gubernatorial candidate Zé Cocá and Senate candidates João Roma and Angelo Coronel.
During a televised debate, Neto denied claims that he is encouraging voters to support both him and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in a ‘split vote’ arrangement. He reaffirmed his presidential support for Ronaldo Caiado while stating he respects the free choice of voters within his coalition.
Neto also outlined several policy promises, including holding public service exams to strengthen technical staff at the Institute of Environment and Water Resources (Inema) and the Secretariat of the Environment (Sema). Additionally, he pledged to reorganize the state's technical assistance and rural extension structures to better support small producers.
