Acquedotto Pugliese schedules Taurisano water outage and restores six historic fountains in Conversano

Acquedotto Pugliese will suspend water supply for eight hours on 15 May 2026 in Taurisano (Lecce) to allow new works on the distribution network. The interruption, from 09:00 to 17:00, will affect several streets, including via Casarano, via Due Giugno, via Nostri Caduti and via Silvio Pellico. Residents without water storage are advised to limit non‑essential use during the outage.

In Conversano, the utility completed a restoration project on six historic fountains located in the city centre (via Porta Antica, Arco del Carmine, Porta Tarantina, via Martucci, via XXIV Maggio and Largo San Cosma). The works involved cleaning surfaces, repairing original elements and improving the surrounding infrastructure, returning the fountains to full functionality and enhancing the town’s urban heritage.
