Acre, Brazil hosts coffee seminars to boost production and quality

On July 22, the Forum Empresarial de Inovação e Desenvolvimento do Acre and Sebrae organized the 2nd State Coffee Seminar in Rio Branco. The event gathered coffee growers, researchers, cooperatives and public and private institutions such as Embrapa, Senar, CNA, IMAC, IDAF and Coopercafé. Sessions covered market trends, cooperativism, plantation design, clone evaluation, environmental licensing, export opportunities and post‑harvest handling.

Separately, the Faeb/Senar system delivered the first Master Consulting module for coffee technical assistance in Ibicoara. Over five days, field technicians received theoretical and practical training on pre‑harvest management, harvesting techniques, drying, storage and early post‑harvest processes aimed at improving coffee quality and adding value to the product.

Both initiatives aim to strengthen Acre's coffee sector, promote sustainability, and expand market access for local producers.
