Acre reports diverse statistical trends in safety and infrastructure
Acre presents a complex statistical profile according to recent reports. Data from the Brazilian Forum for Public Security indicates that the state has the highest proportional rate of adolescents in the socio-educational system, with 134.3 detainees per 100,000 inhabitants. This occurs despite a national trend of declining juvenile incarceration rates over the last decade.
Conversely, a study by the MySide platform ranks Acre as the safest state in the North Region and the eighth safest in Brazil, reporting 19.5 murders per 100,000 inhabitants. Local security authorities attribute this to integrated institutional efforts and increased investment in professional training.
In terms of infrastructure, the state's vehicle fleet has grown by 68.3% since 2015, surpassing 400,000 total registrations. Motorcycles and scooters dominate the market, accounting for approximately 54% of all vehicles in the state.
