Acre gubernatorial race: Alan Rick leads in Quaest poll
New polling data from Quaest indicates that Senator Alan Rick is leading the race for the governorship of Acre. In the first round, Rick holds 33% of the voting intention, followed by Mailza Assis with 24% and Tião Bocalom with 15%. In a simulated second-round runoff, Rick leads Assis with 42% against 35%.
As the election cycle progresses, candidates have begun their official campaign broadcasts. Alan Rick has utilized a critical tone, labeling the current administration a “desgoverno” (misgovernment) and alleging corruption. Conversely, Mailza Assis is running on a platform of continuity, highlighting her administration's achievements in health and education. Thor Dantas has focused his campaign on industrialization and the bioeconomy, specifically proposing the reactivation of local industries in Xapuri.
Candidates are also engaging in community outreach and media debates. Alan Rick recently visited the São Francisco region to discuss infrastructure and security, while Thor Dantas participated in televised interviews discussing how the COVID-19 pandemic influenced his decision to enter politics.
