Acre gubernatorial candidates file government plans amid polling
Candidates for the government of Acre have begun submitting their official government plans to the Regional Electoral Court for the 2027–2030 term.
Thor Dantas, representing the Frente Ampla pelo Acre coalition, presented a plan focused on five priority axes: health, employment and income, infrastructure, security, and education. His proposals include reorganizing the SUS health system, aiming to reduce waiting lists for exams and surgeries by half through a dedicated situation room, and promoting industrialization and bioeconomy to reduce dependence on raw material sales.
Senator Alan Rick also filed an 80-page document outlining seven strategic axes, including economic development, infrastructure, sanitation, and border defense. His platform emphasizes integrated regional development and the valuation of forest assets as economic heritage.
Recent polling by Instituto Travessia Diagnóstico shows Alan Rick leading in stimulated scenarios with 37% of intended votes, followed by Governor Mailza Assis with 29%. The survey noted a high level of voter indecision, with 51% of respondents stating they were unsure or did not wish to answer.
