ACS secures major infrastructure contracts in Australia and Spain

Spanish construction giant ACS is securing major international contracts in both Australia and Spain. In Australia, the group is expanding its market presence through its subsidiary UGL. UGL will act as a strategic partner for Vocus on the ‘Australian Digital Infrastructure Platform’, a macro-fiber optic project valued at approximately 500 million Australian dollars. Additionally, ACS has been awarded a 450 million euro contract to modernize and overhaul correctional facilities, including the expansion of healthcare facilities and electronic security systems.

In Spain, ACS has secured the contract for the first phase of the new Army Logistics Base (BLET) General Javier Varela in Córdoba. The project, valued at approximately 391 million euros, will be executed through ACS subsidiaries Dragados and Vias. The work involves civil engineering and the construction of buildings for logistics and weapons system maintenance. ACS secured these contracts by presenting economically favorable bids, competing against several rival alliances.
