Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 reveals campaign and Mads Mikkelsen

Activision and Infinity Ward have unveiled a new campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 during the Tokyo Game Show. The footage introduces Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen as the primary antagonist, a character linked to a mysterious figure known as ‘The Archer’ who possesses a weapon capable of disrupting the global order.

The narrative follows Captain John Price, who has become a fugitive after the events of Modern Warfare III. Following the dissolution of Task Force 141, Price is being hunted by his former allies, Ghost and Gaz. To survive, Price forms an unlikely alliance with Valeria Garza, the leader of the Las Almas Cartel.

Set against a backdrop of geopolitical instability, the campaign features a large-scale conflict on the Korean Peninsula involving a North Korean invasion of South Korea. The story will be experienced through multiple perspectives, including new playable character Private Park Hyun Jun. The game is scheduled for release on October 23, with early campaign access available starting October 16 for digital pre-orders.
