Activision describes the title as an ‘epic conclusion’ to the Modern Warfare reboot series, with Infinity Ward aiming for a ‘boots on the ground’ experience that focuses on a gritty, grounded perspective of regular soldiers.

While the beta has showcased multiplayer modes like 6v6 and Team Deathmatch, player feedback remains mixed. Beyond concerns regarding movement mechanics and the ISO Nightshade SMG, a petition led by content creator Tyler Smith has gathered over 11,700 signatures. The petition calls for changes to skill-based matchmaking, which players claim negatively impacts the gameplay experience.

Players who pre-order the Standard or Vault Editions will receive early access to the campaign starting October 16.
