Actor Davide Iacopini shows gradual improvement in intensive care

Italian actor Davide Iacopini is showing slow but gradual signs of improvement while remaining in intensive care at the San Camillo-Forlanini hospital in Rome. The 42-year-old underwent two neurosurgical procedures following an incident on October 5, when he was reportedly struck by a minor operating a minicar in the Monteverde and Testaccio areas.

Medical staff have begun reducing sedation to monitor his progress, though his prognosis remains reserved. Following his recovery, Iacopini will require a rehabilitation phase.

In a related legal development, the Rome Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the minor involved. The individual is currently accused of manslaughter. While the suspect claimed he only pulled the actor's hand from the handlebars, a witness reported seeing the minor kick Iacopini, causing him to fall and strike his head against a parked vehicle.
