Actors compete for role in ‘Avenida Brasil 2’ sequel

Actors Gabriel Fuentes, Bruno Montaleone, and Fábio Scalon are in competition for a key role in the second season of the TV Globo telenovela ‘Avenida Brasil’. The production, written by João Emanuel Carneiro, is scheduled to premiere in January 2027.

The selected actor will portray the new lover of the protagonist, Carminha, played by Adriana Esteves. This character is intended to fill the narrative space previously occupied by the character Max in the original production.

Confirmed cast members for the sequel include Adriana Esteves, Débora Falabella, Murilo Benício, and Cauã Reymond. The plot follows Carminha as she returns to the story, appearing repentant for her past villainy following a tragic accident involving the character Monalisa.
