Actress Natalia Millán stars in new Spanish series 'Romi

Veteran Spanish actress Natalia Millán discussed her role in the upcoming television series "Romi," which premieres on Telecinco on Sunday 26 July at 22:00 and will also be available on Prime Video. In the series set in Bilbao, Millán plays Alaia, a senior officer of the Basque police force Ertzaintza and mother of the titular deaf investigator Romi.

Millán said the role is personally demanding, dealing with family tension after the death of her husband and the challenges of raising a daughter who lost her hearing. She reflected on her long career, noting that she still feels nervous on set but will not tolerate disrespect. The interview also recalled her earlier work on police‑drama productions such as "Policías."
