Actress Tabu returns to Telugu cinema in King 100

Actress Tabu has revealed her return to Telugu cinema through a first look at the upcoming film King 100. Released by Annapurna Studios to coincide with her birthday, the promotional material introduces her character, Mahanthi Jhansi Rani.

Unlike her previous romantic collaborations in the 1990s, this project features a political intrigue where Tabu and co-star Nagarjuna will act as rivals. The film’s official slogan, “This time, it’s not love, it will be war,” highlights this shift in dynamic. Her character is described as a woman who has reached the top through self-reliance and a belief in merit over destiny.

This role follows another character introduction for the film Slumdog – 33 Temple Road, where she portrays Gauri Hegde, a fearless Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax.
