Tabu film King 100 production updates
Overview
Annapurna Studios released the first look of actress Tabu in the upcoming film King 100 to coincide with her birthday. The promotional material introduces her character, Mahanthi Jhansi Rani, a powerful political figure who achieved success through self-reliance and merit.
The project marks a reunion between Tabu and Nagarjuna Akkineni, their first screen appearance together in approximately 28 years. Moving away from their previous romantic collaborations, the film focuses on political intrigue where the two actors act as rivals. The production uses the slogan, “This time, it’s not love, it will be war,” to highlight this shift in dynamic.
Directed and written by R.A. Karthik, the film features music by Devi Sri Prasad and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
