Acun Ilıcalı Announces €250 million Hull City Premier League Budget and Hosts Fans in Antalya

Hull City’s owner Acun Ilıcalı confirmed that the club will enter the English Premier League with an estimated budget of about €250 million for the upcoming season. He said the club aims first to retain its top‑flight status and later become a permanent league member.

To celebrate the promotion, Ilıcalı invited roughly 200 Hull City supporters to Antalya, where the event was organised by Corendon Airlines at the Hydros Club in Kemer. Fans took part in parties, sang club anthems and many displayed new Turkish‑flag tattoos, which Ilıcalı praised as a sign of the strong ties between the clubs and the two countries.

During press questions Ilıcalı also discussed the club’s transfer policy, stressing a focus on young talent and potential over high‑price signings, and noted that a “250 million euro” budget will support these moves. He reiterated his ongoing support for Turkish clubs Fenerbahçe and Erzurumspor and expressed optimism about the future of Turkish star Arda Güler and the national team.
