Adalgisa Favi, fashion entrepreneur, dies at 91

The Marche fashion community is mourning the death of Adalgisa Favi, known as ‘Gisa’, who passed away at the age of 91. A prominent entrepreneur, Favi left a significant mark on the commerce and fashion sectors in the Ancona region.

Her career began in Chiaravalle in the mid-1960s with the opening of her boutique, Chic Mode. In 1982, she expanded her influence by opening a retail location in the center of Ancona, introducing major brands to the city. In 2023, the Municipality of Chiaravalle awarded her the ‘Encomio Solenne’ in recognition of her entrepreneurial courage, innovation, and her role in bringing national and international attention to the local area.
