Adamawa State launches health and security initiatives

The Adamawa State government has launched two major initiatives aimed at improving public health and security.

A maternal and child nutritional support outreach was inaugurated at the Specialist Hospital in Yola. Sponsored by Sa’adatu Ahmed Tijjani Galadima and launched by the Governor’s wife, Lami Ahmadu Fintiri, the program provides nutritional supplements and food items to pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children to combat malnutrition.

In a separate effort to bolster regional stability, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has donated 15 Toyota Hilux vehicles and 300 motorcycles to traditional rulers. The equipment is intended to strengthen grassroots security operations and intelligence gathering across the state’s emirates and chiefdoms to combat threats from groups such as Boko Haram and ISWAP.
