Adani Group declares US legal issues settled and pivots to infrastructure and AI investments

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani announced that the conglomerate has moved past its United States legal challenges and will accelerate spending on infrastructure and artificial‑intelligence‑driven projects. The group highlighted a rights issue of Rs 24,930 crore in Adani Enterprises as a sign of investor confidence.

During fiscal year 2025‑26 the group invested more than Rs 1.5 lakh crore across energy, transport, logistics and digital infrastructure, targeting the rising power and data‑centre demand associated with AI. Key developments included Adani Green adding 5.1 GW of renewable capacity (total >19 GW), a 5 MW green‑hydrogen pilot by Adani New Industries, a transmission order book of Rs 71,779 crore for Adani Energy Solutions, and an expansion programme of over Rs 2 lakh crore for Adani Power aiming for 42 GW generation by FY 2032. Adani Ports handled more than 500 million tonnes, and the airports arm opened the Navi Mumbai International Airport and a new terminal at Guwahati Airport.

On the market front, Adani Enterprises (ADANIENT) shares traded at Rs 2,930.40, down 0.24 % as investors assessed the growth outlook. The group also settled a US OFAC sanction case for $275 million and a civil fraud case with the US SEC for $18 million, removing lingering legal uncertainties.
