Adani Group FY26 AGM, nuclear push, US DOJ case dismissed

Overview

At its 34th AGM in Ahmedabad, the Adani Group laid out a FY 2025‑26 hard‑infrastructure plan of over Rs 1.5 lakh crore – roughly 30 % of private‑sector capex – with projected revenue of Rs 2.92 lakh crore and EBITDA of Rs 82,917 crore. Chairman Gautam Adani described a three‑pillar roadmap: layered governance, long‑term contractor partnerships and a worker‑dignity programme for about 400,000 site staff.

Key projects include expanding Khavda Renewable Park to 30 GW, launching a 10 GW nuclear programme by 2035 through the new Adani Atomic Energy, handling 420 million tonnes of cargo at Adani Ports, commissioning a 1 MMTPA copper smelter and pursuing a Rs 2 lakh crore power‑expansion plan to reach 45 GW. The group also targets a 3 GW data‑centre platform by 2030, a gigawatt partnership with Google, the “Vande Bharatam” innovation mentorship scheme, and a Rs 20,000 crore integrated airport‑city hub programme on 655 acres across five states. A de‑merger of incubating businesses is slated for FY 2028, and the Adani Foundation recorded a record 52,306 blood donations.

In the United States, after a federal judge ordered the Department of Justice to explain its earlier dismissal request, the DOJ filed a motion to dismiss the indictment on 4 July 2026. On 9 July the court required an affidavit from Gautam Adani. The following day the DOJ announced it was dropping the bribery indictment, stating the matter was “foreign” and should not be pursued. Adani continues to deny wrongdoing and has offered a $10 billion investment as part of a potential settlement while contesting a related SEC civil case.
