Adani Ports reports 15% rise in July cargo handling
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited handled 46.3 million metric tonnes of cargo in July 2026, a 15 % year‑on‑year increase. Dry cargo grew the most, up 21 % YoY, while overall cargo volumes for the first four months of the fiscal year reached 184.4 million tonnes, also a 15 % rise.
Rail logistics moved 51,020 TEUs in July, a 5 % month‑on‑month gain but still 16 % below July 2025. For the year to date the rail business handled 196,330 TEUs, 18 % lower than the same period last year. Financially, the company posted a 9.2 % rise in net profit to Rs 3,620 crore, revenue up 18.6 % to Rs 10,821 crore, and EBITDA up 19 % to Rs 6,540 crore, with margins reaching 60.4 %. S&P Global Ratings upgraded Adani Ports to BBB with a stable outlook, and the firm signed a 10‑year, $70 million marine services contract linked to Argentina’s first LNG export project.
