Adani Ports to Invest $100 Million in AI‑Driven Operations at 15 Terminals
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) will invest up to $100 million in a two‑phase rollout of an AI‑enabled operating platform across 15 container terminals at nine domestic and international ports. The expanded partnership with US‑based supply‑chain software firm Kaleris will see the N4 Terminal Operating System and Advanced Optimization Platform deployed to streamline yard planning, container movements and equipment deployment.
The company says the technology‑driven transformation is expected to unlock an additional 91 million metric tonnes of capacity by 2030 and deliver up to 20 % higher productivity for rubber‑tyred gantry cranes and 14 % improvement in terminal truck productivity. The investment forms part of APSEZ’s broader $850 million technology and decarbonisation programme aimed at handling one billion tonnes of cargo annually by 2030. “AI‑enabled automation will define the next frontier of competitiveness in ports and logistics,” said Ashwani Gupta, CEO of APSEZ.
