REC Limited posts 23% Q1 profit jump, declares first interim dividend
State‑owned non‑banking finance company REC Limited reported a 23% sequential increase in net profit to Rs 4,149 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. Net interest income rose 5% to Rs 5,212 crore and earnings per share were Rs 63.04. The firm announced a first interim dividend of Rs 4.25 per share.
REC’s standalone loan book stood at Rs 5.90 lakh crore, the largest for any CPSU‑NBFC in India. The renewable‑energy portfolio expanded to Rs 78,596 crore (13.32% of total loans) and the infrastructure‑logistics portfolio to Rs 59,289 crore. Asset quality improved, with the Stage‑3 loan‑asset ratio falling to 0.11% and the capital‑adequacy ratio reaching 23.06%, well above the RBI’s 15% minimum. The company also received the “NBFC of the Year” award at the 3rd Annual Bharat NBFC & FinTech Summit & Awards 2026.
