Adapted sports initiatives promote inclusion across France

Various initiatives in France are promoting adapted sports to enhance inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities.

In September, the French Federation of Adapted Sport, in collaboration with the departmental council and the association In’VD, organized discovery days at Parc de la Victoire. The event provided specialized bicycles, including tricycles, two-seaters, and quadricycles, to encourage green mobility and help institutions consider investing in adapted transport for residents in care facilities.

Additionally, the French Tennis Federation is conducting the Para Tennis Tour, with a scheduled stop at the Renée Sabran Hospital in Hyères on September 30. The event aims to introduce participants to various forms of the sport, such as wheelchair tennis and tennis for those with visual impairments or prosthetics, utilizing the hospital's rehabilitation focus to promote physical activity and social inclusion.
