Adebisi Moses Olusoji named DLA presidential candidate for 2027

The Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) has affirmed Adebisi Moses Olusoji, a United States-based entrepreneur, as its presidential candidate for Nigeria’s 2027 general election. The decision was reached through a substitution primary held at the party’s secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State.

Olusoji’s candidacy follows the withdrawal of the party’s previous candidate, Barrister Samuel Memeh. The substitution process was conducted via a voice vote and monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Olalekan Fabayo, the state presidential primary Returning Officer, stated that the exercise complied with the party’s constitution and the Electoral Act 2026.

Osun State DLA Chairman Dr. Oluwatosin Odeyemi characterized the move as an effort to provide a fresh political alternative to the established All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Odeyemi called for grassroots mobilization to prepare for the 2027 election cycle.
