ADEDY announces protest at Greek Ministry of Finance

The Greek Confederation of Public Employees (ADEDY) has announced a protest scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2026, at 13:30 outside the Ministry of Finance in Syntagma. The mobilization follows a recent decision by the Council of State regarding bonuses for public sector employees.

ADEDY is demanding a legislative regulation to immediately reinstate the 13th and 14th month salaries. Other primary demands include substantial wage increases to combat the cost of living, the abolition of the solidarity contribution, and the restoration of the salary scale. Additionally, the union is calling for full salary recognition of private sector experience and permanent staff recruitment to address significant organizational vacancies within the public sector.
