Ademola Lookman ranked 13th best winger globally amid Atletico Madrid draw
Ademola Lookman has been ranked by ESPN as the 13th-best wide forward in the world, following a productive period with Atletico Madrid. The Nigerian international's ranking reflects his recent form, including nine goals and four assists in 24 appearances since his €35m move from Atalanta.
On the pitch, Atletico Madrid secured a 2-2 draw against Villarreal in La Liga. Despite playing with ten men after defender Robin Le Normand received a straight red card, Atletico managed to salvage a point thanks to a late equalizer from Giuliano Simeone. Ademola Lookman had a quiet performance during the match and was substituted in the 78th minute.
The fixture was also marked by tension surrounding Julián Álvarez, who was met with boos and whistles from the home crowd during his first appearance since submitting an official transfer request to Barcelona.
