Aden road rehabilitation project reaches 70 percent completion

The road rehabilitation and maintenance project for the street branching from the Kod Al-Nimr Corniche to the September 26 School in the Al-Buraiqeh district of Aden has reached a 70 percent technical completion rate.

Funded by the local authority in the district and the Aden Refinery Company, the project involves excavating the old road layer, leveling, and laying base materials in preparation for asphalt. The project, executed by the Fast Service Foundation for Trade and General Contracting, covers a distance of 1,000 meters with a width of 7 meters. It also includes installing curbs and interlocking stone paving on both sides, as well as opening side roads to alleviate traffic congestion on the main Al-Douh street.

Ahmed Ali Al-Daoudi, Director General of Al-Buraiqeh, stated that this initiative is part of a local authority plan to improve the road network. He noted that further projects targeting dilapidated streets in the district will follow, supported by the Aden Refinery Company, which has committed to providing asphalt materials.
