ADEPA joins international coalition to protect journalism from AI

The Association of Argentine Journalistic Entities (ADEPA) has joined the SPUR Coalition (Standards for Publisher Usage Rights), an international initiative aimed at protecting journalistic content from artificial intelligence. The coalition seeks to establish technical standards and tools that allow publishers to control, measure, and license how AI platforms access and utilize their content.

SPUR works to create a common infrastructure for attribution and licensing. One of its primary developments is the Content Telemetry Standard, designed to provide editors with verifiable information regarding how AI systems consume their work. ADEPA is among the first organizations in the Western Hemisphere to join the coalition, which includes founding members such as the BBC, Financial Times, Guardian Media Group, Sky News, and Telegraph Media Group, as well as The Associated Press.
