AdG and HGE expand healthcare training in Berlin and Brandenburg
The Akademie der Gesundheit e. V. (AdG) and the Hochschule für Gesundheitsfachberufe Eberswalde (HGE) have announced a significant start to their new academic and vocational year. A total of 543 participants have begun training across five locations in various healthcare professions to address skilled labor shortages in Berlin and Brandenburg.
As part of a regional expansion, the AdG has opened a new campus in Prenzlau, which saw its first cohort of 14 paramedic trainees. Other active campuses include Berlin-Buch, Eberswalde, Wildau, and Brieskow-Finkenheerd. The educational programs combine theoretical instruction with practical training in skills labs, covering fields such as nursing, emergency medicine, diagnostics, and therapy. Additionally, the HGE has launched its next Bachelor's degree program in nursing to strengthen academic qualifications in the sector.
