Turkish municipalities address local finance and community needs

Various Turkish municipalities are addressing local administrative and financial issues. In Atakum, Mayor Serhat Türkel addressed delayed staff salaries, stating that payments will resume once a guarantee letter is processed by İller Bankası. This follows labor protests and discussions with the DİSK Genel-İş union regarding accumulated debts and financial stability.

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer met with business and civil society representatives to discuss the city's economic potential and the importance of democratic consultation. In Marmaris, Mayor Acar Ünlü held coordination meetings with neighborhood mukhtars to assess local needs and service delivery.

In Nilüfer, Mayor Şadi Özdemir continued community outreach through neighborhood meetings to gather direct feedback from residents. Meanwhile, in Antalya, Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir met with mukhtars in Kaş to discuss investment planning and responded to social media criticism regarding her presence at a traditional wrestling event. In Anamur, the Chief Public Prosecutor discussed judicial service improvements with the Mersin Bar Association.
