Adif expands electric vehicle charging network at Cuenca station

Adif and Adif Alta Velocidad have launched the second phase of an electric vehicle charging network within railway parking facilities, including the Cuenca Fernando Zóbel high-speed terminal.

This expansion adds 96 operational charging spots across nine stations: Cuenca Fernando Zóbel, Algeciras, León, Medina del Campo, Segovia, Teruel, Villena, Xàtiva, and Zamora. These new points join 254 existing chargers, bringing the national total to 350 points across 30 stations. The facilities are accessible to the general public and support direct payment via bank card or the Waylet application.

The project is part of a broader plan to deploy approximately 900 charging points at over 60 stations by 2027. The initiative is supported by an investment exceeding 18.2 million euros, funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU recovery funds. This deployment aims to promote clean mobility and sustainable transport hubs.
