ADIF to invest 3.8 million euros in Toledo high-speed rail drainage

ADIF Alta Velocidad is launching a major project to resolve drainage issues on a six-kilometer stretch of the Madrid-Levante high-speed line in the province of Toledo. The works will take place between kilometer points 45+050 and 51+315.

The intervention aims to replace existing ditches with wider, more resistant, and easier-to-maintain structures. Additionally, the project includes improving parallel service roads and constructing new access points to allow machinery to reach water evacuation systems. These measures address long-standing issues identified by ADIF, including obstructions, soil settlement, and difficulties accessing drainage areas.

The contract was awarded to Becsa S.A. for 3,810,298.51 euros including taxes, which represents a 12.8% reduction from the initial budget of 4,371,829.83 euros.
