ADJORI Paraná elects new board in Foz do Iguaçu, vice‑governor attends

The 29th Congress of ADJORI PR was held in Foz do Iguaçu and concluded with a dinner attended by Paraná Vice‑Governor Darci Piana and State Secretary of Communication Eduardo Pugnali. During the ceremony journalist Waldiclei Barboza, director of O Popular do Paraná, was inaugurated as the new president of the association. Barboza praised the role of local newspapers in informing citizens about global, national and municipal issues.

The outgoing president, Cidenei Cristian Allebrandt, thanked members for four years of service and handed over the administration to the newly elected board, which includes Vice‑President Sérgio Jonikaites, secretaries Moacir Luiz Guchert and Marcia Moskado Batista de Almeida, and treasurers Cidenei Allebrandt and Marcelo Soares da Silva. The mandate runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028, with the new leadership pledging to strengthen regional journalism and community engagement.
