Administrative changes in Chihuahua and Zacatecas governments

In Chihuahua, Claudia Arlett Espino has returned to the state's Public Security Secretariat as the General Legal Director. This move follows her resignation from the Executive Secretariat of the National Electoral Institute (INE) on September 9, 2026, which she attributed to health and personal reasons. Her return to the Chihuahua administration, led by Governor Maru Campos, occurred on October 17, roughly five weeks after leaving the electoral body.

In Zacatecas, Governor David Monreal Ávila has appointed Diana Saucedo Nava as the new Secretary General of Government. Saucedo Nava previously served as a delegate for the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) and as Undersecretary of Social Crime Prevention. The Governor cited her professional experience and commitment to the state as key factors in her appointment to strengthen institutional governance.
