Adrien Fourmaux weighs future options in WRC amid Hyundai uncertainty
WRC driver Adrien Fourmaux is evaluating his future for the upcoming season following a strong performance with Hyundai Motorsport. After finishing fifth in the championship with four podiums, the 31-year-old French driver faces uncertainty as Hyundai has not yet confirmed its strategy for next year. While Hyundai has ruled out building a new car for the 2027 technical regulations, the manufacturer is developing a revised Rally2 version that could potentially compete in the top category via a FIA kit.
Fourmaux is reportedly considering several options, including a potential return to M-Sport to drive a Ford. M-Sport, which is returning to the championship as a full factory team, has expressed interest in the driver to help develop their new Rally2 WRC Kit car. Fourmaux stated he is open to all projects and aims to return to a Rally1 car as quickly as possible, noting, “I am taking time to make a decision.” He hopes to finalize his plans by the Monte Carlo rally.
