Advans Ghana doubles client base to 160,000 and launches women's fund

Advans Ghana has more than doubled its client base over the last five years, reaching 159,693 customers. The institution, which operates 21 branches across nine regions, reports that women account for nearly 60% of its active clients.

To support female entrepreneurs, the institution is launching ‘Mmaa Mpuntuo’ (meaning ‘women’s progress’ in Twi) on 30 September. This GHS20 million fund, supported by Development Bank Ghana and developed through the Mastercard Foundation FIRST+II Programme, will provide working capital, business coaching, mentorship, and financial literacy training to women-led small and micro-businesses.

Financial performance has shown significant growth. By June 2026, the institution's loan book reached GHS607.5 million, a 31% year-on-year increase, while half-year net profit rose 68% to GHS38.94 million. Digital service adoption is also rising, with transactions completed outside of physical branches increasing by 90% during 2025.
