ADX Energy and Aminex report progress in gas exploration projects

ADX Energy Ltd has reported positive results from its Hochfeld-1 (HOCH-1) shallow gas exploration well in Upper Austria. Recent Phase 1 testing, which commingled Zones 2, 3, 4, and 5, achieved an average gas flow rate of 3.15 million cubic feet per day (MMCFPD), or approximately 548 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD).

The company noted that three additional zones have flowed water-free gas, increasing confidence in the commercial potential of the site. Post-drill 3D seismic mapping suggests significant lateral extensions of several sand bodies, potentially indicating that deeper, untested zones are also gas-filled. Phase 2 testing is planned to target deeper Hall Channel zones.

Separately, Aminex PLC saw its shares surge by as much as 51.1% following reports of high-level regulatory discussions regarding the Ntorya gas project in Tanzania. These talks involve the Tanzanian Ministry of Energy and other national authorities to coordinate the regulatory and operational steps necessary for the project’s development.
