ADX Energy to resume gas testing at HOCH-1 well in Austria
ADX Energy is set to resume production testing at its HOCH-1 shallow gas exploration well in Upper Austria, with additional gas zones scheduled for testing during the week of 24 August 2026.
Initial Phase 1 testing of the Hall zone produced water-free gas at an average flow rate of 2.7 MMCFPD (450 BOEPD). Pressure build-up analysis suggests a potential flow rate of up to 3.5 MMCFPD (580 BOEPD) and a sand extent of at least 600 metres. The HOCH-1 well has encountered up to eight biogenic gas reservoirs across two formations.
Reprocessed 3D seismic data indicates a potentially large lateral extension of sand bodies within the Hall Channel sands. Phase 2 testing will target at least two deeper Hall Channel sand zones. ADX holds a 50% economic interest in the ADX-AT-I exploration licence.
