Aeolian Islands host 14 international tour operators for EXCOVER project

The Aeolian Islands are launching a major international tourism promotion initiative through the EXCOVER (Explore & Discover the Aeolian Islands) project. On October 18 in Lipari and October 19 in Salina, 14 international tour operators from diverse markets—including the USA, Spain, India, Scandinavia, and the DACH region—will participate in workshops to connect with local businesses.

Organized by Fin-Project in collaboration with Federalberghi Isole Eolie and funded by the Italian Ministry of Tourism, the project aims to diversify tourism beyond the summer season. The initiative focuses on promoting natural paths, historical-cultural heritage, and local gastronomy to attract visitors during shoulder months. The event will feature B2B speed meetings and include a delegation of international journalists and influencers to increase global media coverage.
