AEON expands retail footprint in Vietnam with 10th shopping mall

AEON Group has officially opened its tenth shopping mall in Vietnam, located in Hai Duong. The new facility, which received provisional LOTUS Gold certification for green building construction, is expected to create approximately 900 local jobs.

As part of a broader strategic goal to triple its operations in Vietnam by 2030, AEON is focusing on integrating local businesses and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) goods into its modern distribution network. The company aims to leverage its global retail network to help Vietnamese specialty products, such as Hai Duong lychee, reach international markets.

To support this expansion, AEON Vietnam is significantly increasing its workforce. The company expects to create more than 3,000 jobs in 2026, targeting a total workforce of over 12,000 employees. Recent mass recruitment events in Haiphong, Thanh Hoa, and Quang Ninh were held to prepare for upcoming store openings, offering various career paths ranging from frontline retail to management roles.
