Japanese retailers launch new family and childcare initiatives

Various retail and service providers in Japan are launching new initiatives focused on family support, childcare, and outlet shopping.

Aeon Group is hosting its first ‘Childcare Fair ~Tomoiiku~’ across approximately 570 stores, collaborating with 26 companies including Kagome to address childcare challenges. Other regional Aeon locations are hosting specialized events, such as the ‘MamaHapi EXPO’ in Kusatsu and job experience programs for children in Kasukabe.

In the outlet sector, Trust Co., Ltd. is expanding its ‘Dream market’ brand to Kyushu with a new store at Aeon Mall Fukutsu. Additionally, Bandai Namco Experience is running a ‘Family Grand Thanksgiving’ campaign across 12 indoor kids' play brands, offering free admission for one adult per child.

Other commercial updates include the opening of a new Nojima electronics store at Aeon Shin-Matsudo and the launch of a ‘Pon! by Gachagacha no Mori’ capsule toy specialty store at Aeon Mall Sanko.
