AEON Mall expands in Da Nang with second 10‑ha commercial complex

Da Nang city approved the lease of more than 10 ha of public urban land to AEON Mall Vietnam Ltd for a second AEON Mall project in the Hòa Xuân ward. The development will cover about 101,800 m² of land, feature approximately 126,740 m² of floor space and is expected to cost roughly 4.38 trillion VND (about US$192.5 million). The lease runs until 7 August 2075 with a one‑time land‑rent payment, and the site is located on Trần Nam Trung street within the Hòa Xuân sports, entertainment and commercial complex.

The first AEON Mall in Da Nang opened on 3 July 2026 in the Thanh Khê district, marking the Japanese retailer’s initial presence in the city. The new Hòa Xuân mall follows shortly, reinforcing Da Nang’s rapid retail‑infrastructure growth and aiming to boost consumer activity and attract further domestic and foreign investment.
