AEON Mall to start construction of 875‑940 billion VND shopping centre in Ninh Binh
AEON Vietnam announced that construction of the AEON Phú Lý shopping centre in Ninh Binh province will begin in early August 2026. The project, valued at roughly 875‑940 billion VND (about US$35 million), will cover around 26,000 m² of floor space on an 8‑hectare site and is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2027.
Local officials said the development is expected to become a modern retail, entertainment and services hub for Ninh Binh and surrounding areas. AEON Mall, which currently operates eight malls in Vietnam, is also evaluating additional sites in Hoa Lư and Nam Định districts as part of its broader expansion in the country, where Vietnam is its largest market in Southeast Asia.
The company is completing remaining legal and land‑use procedures, with provincial authorities coordinating to resolve any obstacles and ensure the project proceeds on schedule.
