Aeon Retail has announced the opening of two new retail facilities in Japan.
In Nagano Prefecture, ‘Aeon Style Suwa’ is scheduled to open on October 21, 2026, at the site of the former Aeon Suwa store. The facility will serve as a community hub, featuring a specialty building with stores such as Daiso and Yayoi Ken, alongside a direct-managed section with an eat-in space and a self-service cafe. The site will also include a childcare and multi-generational exchange facility operated by Shimofusa Town and an observation deck overlooking Lake Suwa.
In Ibaraki Prefecture, the new urban shopping center format ‘Soyora Tsukuba Gakuen no Mori’ will open on October 25. Located near Kenkyu-gakuen Station, the center will feature an ‘Aeon Style Tsukuba Gakuen no Mori’ anchor store. The facility aims to balance convenience and leisure, offering services such as self-scanning ‘Regigo’ carts, a pharmacy, and various specialty tenants including Burger King and Saizeriya. The center is designed to support the local research city lifestyle with efficient shopping options and community spaces.
