Aeon Town to open new shopping center in Sakai City

Aeon Town Co., Ltd. has announced the opening of a new shopping center, Aeon Town Sakai Mizugaike, in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. The project is part of the Mizugaike Park Improvement Project, which utilizes the Park-PFI (Public-Private Partnership) system to integrate urban park redevelopment, commercial facilities, and new residential housing.

The development, located a three-minute walk from Fukai Station on the Nankai Electric Railway Senboku Line, aims to revitalize the local area. The commercial component will feature approximately 30 stores, including supermarkets, drugstores, clinics, pet shops, and cafes. The facility is designed under the concept of ‘Wellness Town in the Park,’ seeking to harmonize with the natural environment of the adjacent Mizugaike Park.

The project involves a partnership with a group led by Hoosiers Corporation, which is developing the ‘Duo Hills Mizugaike Koen Verite’ condominiums within the same area. The shopping center is scheduled to open in the winter of 2027.
