AEON Vietnam opens 1.2 trillion VND sustainable mall in Hai Duong

AEON Vietnam has officially opened AEON Hai Duong, a new shopping center covering 3.8 hectares with a total investment of nearly 1.2 trillion VND. The facility opened to the public on October 3.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the project has received provisional “LOTUS Gold” certification from the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) and is pursuing the international EDGE Advanced certification from the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The mall utilizes eco-friendly materials, a new generation HVAC system, and solar energy to optimize power consumption.

To mitigate the urban heat island effect, the design incorporates thermal insulation materials and specific color palettes for roofs and exterior surfaces. Additionally, AEON Vietnam has planted over 13,000 trees around the center to enhance the local green space and support environmental integration.
