Aerolíneas Argentinas boosts winter flight capacity across Argentina
Aerolíneas Argentinas announced a 12% increase in domestic seats for the winter season, raising its July offering to 1,449,476 seats – a 7% rise over the same month in 2025. The airline added frequencies to major ski destinations, including a 7% rise to Bariloche, a 21% increase to Ushuaia, and higher services to El Calafate and Chapelco, while also launching inter‑city connections that bypass Buenos Aires.
The expansion is complemented by the provincial government’s plan to turn Rosario International Airport into a logistics hub. New and increased services from carriers such as Arajet, Copa Airlines, LATAM, GOL and Aerolíneas Argentinas broaden connections to the Caribbean, North America, Brazil and, from October, Europe via a direct link to Madrid. Seasonal routes to Bariloche, Puerto Iguazú and Chapelco are also reinforced, and around 7,000 graduating students will travel to Bariloche on 70 flights during the vacation period. The combined enhancements aim to stimulate tourism and regional economic activity during Argentina’s key winter travel season.
