Aeropuertos Argentina announces USD 1.5 billion airport investment plan

Aeropuertos Argentina has announced an ambitious USD 1.5 billion investment plan over the next five years to modernize the country's aviation infrastructure. This initiative is part of a broader USD 7.5 billion long-term infrastructure strategy and follows an agreement to extend the concession contract for 35 airports.

Key projects include significant expansions at major hubs. At Ezeiza International Airport, the plan involves constructing a new international arrivals terminal and a dedicated domestic arrivals terminal to accommodate growing passenger numbers. Additionally, Aeroparque Jorge Newbery will undergo a USD 200 million upgrade, featuring the installation of six new boarding bridges and a 14,000 square meter boarding area.

The investment also includes a federal program targeting 33 regional airports. Approximately USD 506 million is earmarked for interior airports, including facilities in Esquel, Bariloche, Córdoba, Mendoza, Puerto Madryn, Iguazú, and Viedma. These works aim to expand terminal capacity, improve services, and enhance connectivity for tourism and local economic activity.
